The recordings for ‘Where Nobody Else Goes’ predate the YORISHIRO albums, presenting a selection of sixteen sketches, mostly recorded during a transitional period between Japan and New Zealand (2009-2011).

Composed of short keyboard meditations, soundscapes and minimally structured pop songs, the album is a quiet scrapbook of living in the solitude of rural Japan. A time where I kept close company with the sea, mountains, rice fields, insects and river sounding eternally by my house.
